The CedarWood
When you think of cedarwood, what feelings are evoked? For me, many come to mind. With its soft browns and familiar aroma, I feel warmth...comfort...quiet...solace.
But it's more than that. When I close my eyes, cedar brings forth stronger impressions. Champagne under twinkling chandeliers. Hot chocolate in a sleepy ski lodge. An oversized easychair next to a humidor. The warmth of a fireplace in a chilly log cabin.
Why is this important? Intent. Intent is the key element to great massages. What I'm thinking about, what I focus on, and what I visualize, directly translates through my hands. The stronger my intent, the better the massage. It's that simple.
When I developed CedarOak's flagship massage, I needed a starting point. What did I want the client to experience? I want them to feel taken care of. I want them to feel safe, relaxed, and able to let go of their stress. I want their mind to stop racing and wander. I want them to be at peace...to feel comfort...freedom.
I found the impressions that cedarwood evokes in my mind is what I want my clients to feel in their bodies. Not only that, but the essence of what cedarwood represents is the driving force behind all other aspects of my business. It is my unsaid mission statement.
But the cedar name needed a partner. Something to complete my client's needs. The Oak.
